Help with your Reading lists

There are a number of edit options available. Select the three dots to the right of the section name or item record you wish to edit and you will see the options available to you.

If the book is not in stock then use the Blank Form and add the details manually or you can use the Cite It! option. 

Remember to add a tag. The book will be ordered, if available, in accordance with the Library Collection Management Policy.

Books and eBooks must have an Essential or Recommended tag attached to the record which will determine the number of copies Library Services will purchase.

Essential texts: we will purchase more than one copy in accordance with student numbers. 

Recommended texts – we will purchase at least one copy.

Library Services has a “digital first” policy so if possible, we will purchase an eBook in the first instance and a number of print copies dependent on the tag.

You can request an Electronic Key Text (EKT) by completing the relevant form on the Digital Scanning Service web page.

When the EKT is available it will be added to the relevant reading list.

No. Out-of-print titles are difficult to source so if there are not already copies on the shelf in the Library, please consider removing the out-of-print title from your reading list.

If the latest edition does not appear in your search results search for the item again and then select “Additional versions available” to reveal the editions the library has in stock. 

Yes.  A new list will default to having one section (Section 1) which you can rename and then create as many new sections as you wish. Do not forget all books/eBooks need to be tagged as essential or recommended. 

Select your name in the top right corner of the screen and then click on Cite It! Drag and drop the Cite It! button to your browser toolbar.  If you cannot see the Bookmarks Bar on your browser, click on the three dots in the top right hand corner of your browser and select Bookmarks then Show Bookmarks Bar.
