The Group is a community of academics and PhD students who conducts rigorous research into a wide range of specialist areas.
The Constructions Management and Econmoics Research Group conducts research into the following key areas:
Recent and ongoing projects for the Group include the performance management of outsourced projects, which is funded by the Association of Project Management. The Group has also worked on sustainable development challenges in the Gulf region, which is supported through a series of workshops organised by the Gulf Research Meeting, University of Cambridge.
In addition to this, researchers from the Constructions Management and Economics Research Group have also used project analytics in the oil and gas industry, which is being conducted alongside Loughborough University. Researchers from the Group have also examined sustainable procurement in the social housing sector, which is being carried out alongside the University of Liverpool and is funded by Procurement for Housing, as well as developing and implementing technical service strategy, incorporating building information management. This is a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with BCM, Manchester.
The Constructions Management and Economics Research Group is known for its strong collaborations with external partnerships and the Group have completed projects with many public and private sector organisations, such as Alder Hey Hospital, Horizon, Fusion 21 and Shepherd Construction Ltd.
