Our policing courses
The Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies delivers a range of first-rate courses
The Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies equips students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the demands of 21st century policing.
Courses at the Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies are aimed at school leavers, current undergraduates and in-service professionals wishing to deepen their knowledge, research skills and leadership in a range of areas. All of the programmes incorporate research training and have been designed to align with the key high strategic priorities of the sector.
Our BA (Hons) Policing Studies and the Foundation (FDA) Policing Studies courses have prominent international links that help prepare students for the global jobs market. For example, in 2016 students will be working with the University of Maribor, Slovenia to complete their International Fieldwork Module.
The Police Knowledge Fund, which will run from 2015 to 2017, is another way the Centre will help students meet the demands of 21st century policing. The project will train 70 police officers and staff within specialised areas of policing and will end in a knowledge exchange between the students and the police.
