Perception of paranormal phenomena and the role of psychic detectives in forensic investigation
We are recruiting participants to attend a demonstration of psychic phenomena (psychometry, dowsing, reading, mediumship).
This research will allow participants to discover if the attendance of psychic performance can alter the attendee’s preconception of alleged paranormal phenomena. The purpose is to demonstrate how the perception of alleged paranormal powers can influence the belief into psychic detectives. The duration of the performance will be approximately two hours.
- be at least 18 years of age
- attend an experimental session (psychic performance)
- complete two questionnaires (one before and one after the experimental session)
The sessions will take place on Tuesday 15 May 15.00-17.00 and Wednesday 16 May 17.00-19.00 at LJMU's Byrom Street campus, L3 3AF.
