  2. Ireland Study Visit – An Garda Síochána

    LCAPS is committed to providing students with opportunities to engage directly with international policing systems. A recent study visit to Ireland enabled students to undertake a comparative exploration of policing practice alongside An Garda Síochána.

    LJMU run a number of events throughout the year specifically for postgraduate students including Open Days. Find out more about what postgraduate events are coming up in the next few months.

  7. Climate and sustainability strategy and performance

    In 2020 we declared a climate emergency, and in 2022 published our Climate Action Plan. Actions within this plan were split into five themes: leadership, teaching, research, campus management, and community. The plan was split into three phases up until 2035.

  8. Water

    LJMU conserves water with metered monitoring, low flush toilets, water-efficient taps and free water dispensers to reduce plastic waste and carbon emissions.

    International relations and politics are a diverse department with a range of research expertise, including in US democracy, cultural politics, sports mega-events, nationalism and devolution, and non-western theories of IR.
