  5. Andrew Newsam: Engaging with astrophysics

    Andrew (Andy) Newsam is Professor of Astronomy Education and Engagement in LJMU’s Astrophysics Research Institute (ARI) and the author of Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About the Universe: And Our Place Within It (2021).

  6. Anyika Onuora

    Anyika graduated in economics from LJMU in 2008 and was in the very first class of scholars in the Sports Scholarship programme that launched in 2004. She went on to become an Olympic-winning track and field athlete.

  7. Sean Curran

    Sean studied law at Liverpool Polytechnic and was President of the Student’s Union. He has since gone on to become a BBC journalist, reporting on politics and parliament, often hosting LJMU students at the BBC and sharing career insights.

  8. Pam Cassidy

    Pam works for Campus Services as a catering administrator and started working here some 45 years ago. She has worked in all of the university buildings during her time at LJMU, managing the catering for a whole host of events.

  9. Beth Tweddle MBE

    Beth graduated with a degree in sports science in 2007 and was in the very first class of scholars in the Sports Scholarship programme that launched in 2004. She is renowned as Britain’s greatest-ever female gymnast.
