  1. Henry Egerton Cotton 1929 - 1993

    The first Chancellor of the university and a well-known figure in Liverpool. He is immortalised in statue form on our City Campus outside of the Henry Cotton Building.

LOOM's research interests include: 3D-simulation of logistics movement, evolutionary algorithms and optimisation, formal Ship safety assessment, human and organisational error studies and logistics supply chain studies.

    News from Nowhere is now thriving as the major independent bookshop in Liverpool, with its own building packed full of weird and wonderful books on subjects from anarchism to zen.

  5. Beth Tweddle MBE

    Beth graduated with a degree in sports science in 2007 and was in the very first class of scholars in the Sports Scholarship programme that launched in 2004. She is renowned as Britain’s greatest-ever female gymnast.

    Enterprise Hub Skills aims to simplify access to enterprise training and development, building Liverpool City Region as a central hub for enterprise.

  8. Phil Bridges

    Phil is the founder of a Liverpool-based mental health social enterprise called The Mind Map, helping to improve people’s mental health through counselling, training and awareness. It was his own experiences growing up that influenced his decision to set-up the organisation.

  9. Professor Roger Webster

    Professor Roger Webster is the former Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies and Professor of Literary Studies at the university. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by LJMU in 2017 for his outstanding contribution to arts and cultural education. He brought together a book on the origins and history of LJMU, released in 2017 for the university’s 25th anniversary.
