CPD Negotiated Work Based Learning Professional Studies
Level 7 (postgraduate), 20 credits
Course aim
This course aims to enable the healthcare and social care staff to maximize learning opportunities and experiences relevant to their own area of work in order to facilitate career and professional development.
Course content
Negotiation of an individual tripartite agreement based on evidenced based protocols, professional standards which will be according to the needs of the student.
Generic skills will include: reflection, evaluation, academic writing and appraise and dissemination of literature.
Portfolio development to evidence learning.
Teaching and learning
Negotiated with programme leader. Maximum time allowed until submission: one year. Students are recommended to meet with the programme leader and mentors to discuss progression and submission date.
Recommended 12 weeks of study.
Entry requirements
Evidence of being able to study at level 6 (undergraduate) degree level.
Assessment
An academic written project; 5,000 word (max)
CPD award
Certificate of Professional Development. This module maybe taken as a standalone programme or form part of the Advanced Practice Masters pathway.
