Course aim

This Masters-level module is aimed at healthcare professionals who would like to expand their understanding of advanced practice within modern healthcare.

Completing the module, will give you a critical understanding and applied appreciation of advanced healthcare practice. You will also explore its application and impact on practice.

Course length

The course will run over a 15 week period.

Course cost

The total cost for this CPD module is £420.


Two hours per week.

Course content

This module is delivered via lectures, debates and workshops. Topics around advancing healthcare practice  will include legal issues, the impact on practice, commissionsing and NHS frameworks, prescribing and human factors.


You will be assessed via a 3,000 word essay.

Entry requirements

In order to be considered for this module, you should:

  • be a healthcare professional 
  • have at least 2 years post-qualification experience
  • be able to demonstrate that you have worked at Level 6 or 7
CPD award

This CPD can be studied within the MSc Advanced Healthcare Practice (Clinical) award framework or as a single CPD.
