Certificate in Higher Education

This programme has been designed to address the continuing educational needs of Emergency Medical Technicians

The programme will enable practitioners to further develop their skills in the management and care of service users in the prehospital setting. The focus of the programme is on emergency and urgent care. Modules will be delivered within a 14-15 week academic semester.

Candidates enrolling on this programme will have completed two years with an ambulance service, working in the emergency and urgent care setting. Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RP(E)L), will be considered according to the university’s RP(E)L regulations, policy and procedures.

Please note: to undertake the programme you must be currently employed as an Emergency Medical Technician.
