Outreach activities for schools and colleges

Through free outbound activities and campus-based visits we aim to inspire students to progress into higher education and promote LJMU with information for schools, students and support staff.

What we do

The Outreach Team delivers a wide range of presentations and workshops in schools and colleges to Year 12 and 13 pupils including:

  • Introduction to higher education
  • How to write a personal statement
  • Finance – student funding, fees and loan repayment
  • Money, money, money – an interactive look at money management
  • Student life talks (delivered by current LJMU Student Advocates)

Both staff and pupils found the sessions to be extremely engaging, informative and relevant. I would wholeheartedly recommend these workshops as a way of providing pupils with important information and developing the skills they will need for university life
