Celebrating our health students and staff
LJMU’s School of Nursing and Advanced Practice is celebrating the achievements of its students, staff and practice partners.
The school has this week hosted its annual awards event for 2024, with 11 worthy winners being honoured.
The categories reflect the different aspects of excellence within the school, from academic performance to outstanding placements and voluntary work outside of the university.
More than 70 nominations were submitted, with some categories enabling students to recognise the excellent support they receive from staff.
Commitment to patients and service users
The winners embody the school’s commitment to delivering better outcomes for patients and service users by providing education opportunities for aspiring and practising nurses, nursing associates and advanced practitioners.

A credit to the university
Dr Julie Williams, Director of the School of Nursing and Advanced Practice, said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to celebrate the achievements of our students in the school, along with our wonderful staff and practice partners.
“We were really impressed by the number and quality of nominations this year and that reflects the fantastic work being done within the school and out in our communities.
“Everybody in the school is committed to ensuring that both aspiring and experienced nursing professionals develop the skills, knowledge and experience to meet the healthcare demands of today and the future.
“Our winners and nominees are a credit to the school, faculty and university and I congratulate them all for their dedication, talent and achievements.”
