PhDs by Distance

MPhil or PhD by Distance scheme is aimed at Postgraduate Research Students (PGRs) who need to study for most of their registration period at another, usually overseas, site. As with on-campus postgraduate researchers, students undertake a substantial research project that is written up as a thesis and defended in an oral exam (the viva voce).

Applicants must apply through the normal channels and should be interviewed according to the University Admissions Policy.
