LJMU Staff can apply for a small file share to be set up on the premium service free of charge. An initial 1GB of disk space will be allocated at set up and can be incremented further as and when needed.

LJMU Staff, research groups, schools, departments and faculties can apply for up to 2TB of large capacity storage free of charge. Additional disk space can be purchased in units of ¼ TB (250 GB). The charge is for a period of 4 years at the end of which you will be contacted and offered the option to renew.

This service will replace the shared drives on NAS and we will be co-ordinating the moves onto the new disks with the users. If your current share on NAS already exceeds 2TB no charges will apply for what you currently have, however, requests for additional disk space will incur charges.

LJMU Staff and Researchers can apply for large capacity storage on the standard service free of charge depending on your requirement and the available disk space at the time of request.

All servers come with 250GB of disk space.

There are no backup or recovery services available for test servers. They must not be used in a production environment. In the event of a major failure, the hardware used in the Test environment may be reassigned to the Production environment meaning the test servers will become unavailable.

To renew the secure web site certificate there will be a charge of £36 for a 2-year period. This is a charge imposed by our supplier and not IT Services.
