Hireserve Hiring Manager Portal guidance

The HR team have introduced a Hiring Manager Portal, available within our recruitment system – Hireserve. This will streamline the recruitment process and give Hiring Managers end-to-end control and visibility of their vacancies in one place, from initial request to advertise, shortlisting, inviting candidates to interview through to making an offer to your preferred candidate.

Hiring Managers will also be able to see, in real-time, where vacancies are up to in the portal and have immediate access to applications when they come in, making shortlisting easier and reducing your time to hire. Self-select interview slots can also be set up, giving candidates more flexibility on the time that they attend for interview, enhancing the candidate experience and reducing the likelihood of no-shows.

We are now moving all recruitment activity over to the Hiring Manager Portal and with effect from Monday 4 September 2023, all vacancies should be submitted in this way. Many of our hiring managers are already trained and have portal accounts, however if you are aware of an upcoming recruitment need, please register for one of our upcoming briefing sessions in order to be set up with a portal account. The dates for training are available via the Staff Development Calendar. There are also shorter sessions available for anyone who will be participating on selection panels rather than acting as full hiring manager.

Please note
We will be combining these courses with our mandatory Recruitment and Selection training courses from October.
If you are new to LJMU or recruiting and require to be Recruitment and Selection trained, you will be required to attend both courses for the next couple of months.
