  • Cards are not transferable and must not be lent to others

ID Cards

Staff cards

If you’ve lost or misplaced your staff ID card you need to be issued with a new one.

Please note
This must be done ahead of trying to access any other buildings on campus.

You can get a new ID card anytime between 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, in either of the Aldham or Avril Robarts Libraries or from a building reception desk.

Student cards

If you still have your student ID card but it is faulty or physically damaged, please take the card to Aldham Robarts Library or Avril Robarts Library and ask for it to be replaced as faulty. You will be asked to hand over the faulty/damaged card and be given a replacement. (Please note that if you have previously had a card replaced because it was lost and you subsequently found the original, the old card will no longer work and should be destroyed to avoid any confusion).

If you’ve lost or misplaced your student ID card you need to be issued with a new one.

Please note
This must be done ahead of trying to access any other buildings on campus or attending university lectures/use any services.

Go to the MyLJMU app, or visit the MyLJMU website and choose ‘my services’.

Scroll down to Miscellaneous and choose ‘Request ID replacement’.

This will log a helpdesk ticket on your behalf and will keep you up to date all the way through the process. You will then receive a notification of when you can collect your new card.
