Digital literacy

As part of our commitment to increasing digital literacy and skills, LJMU has partnered with LinkedIn Learning to provide all staff and students access to its vast range of resources and learning tools. If you have not yet, you can activate your free LinkedIn Learning account.

This page will gather a range of playlists, recommended content, learner challenges and additional resources to assist you with all aspects of digital literacy, IT skills and eLearning resources.

Microsoft Office resources and guidance

The links below include several curated playlists aimed at helping develop skills across a variety of Microsoft packages that most staff members will be regularly using. Whether you are a novice or already have advanced skills, there is guidance available to suit different levels of expertise and experience. The playlists below represent just a few of over 6,000 modules available on LinkedIn Learning. If you need assistance in finding the right module for yourself, please get in contact with the Organisational Development team.

Self-assessment tools

If you are uncertain of your current levels of expertise, the following quick and anonymous self-assessments can help identify modules that will be of most use to you – as well as revealing some features of the software that you may have been previously unaware of.
