Access to LJMU electronic resources is determined by licence agreements applied by suppliers/publishers, which may be subject to change at any time. Library Services will communicate any such changes via the Collaborative Provision team in Academic Registry and on Electronic resources for partner institutions.
Our team of Academic Engagement Librarians will provide support in using available resources, including Discover and electronic resources which are licenced for use by collaborative partners. Additional self-directed materials are available at Searching and Referencing.
Collaborative partner students and staff involved in delivery of programmes can visit any LJMU Library. You will need an LJMU ID card for access. Further details on obtaining a card can be found on Advice and Guidance under Staff Approval and Staff Cards and Student Enrolment, Change of Status and Student Cards. Borrowing rights will be the same as for LJMU students and staff.
Further details can be found at Borrowing books.
Staff and students from our collaborative partners with an LJMU username and password can access PCs, wireless networks, printers copiers and scanners in the libraries. Charges will apply for printing and copying.
Some services are not available to collaborative partner staff and students including in-person academic study skills, the purchase of resources, inter-library loans and membership of reciprocal borrowing schemes such as SCONUL Access. Any requests for these services should be directed to the partner institution.
