Name the Seagull Competition

The title of the competition is “Name the LJMU Privacy & Security Seagull”.

The aim of the competition is to further raise awareness of the student Privacy & Digital Security project.  I want as many students as possible to get involved and to talk about the project.

More details about the project can be found on our Privacy and Digital Security page

As part of the project, we have created a privacy and security mascot (the “Mascot”) – a villainous seagull who likes to steal your personal data!

We would now like students to suggest a name for the seagull that is creative, original and in line with the project, and the theme of data privacy and security.

Competition is open from 9.00am 1 March 2024 and closes at 5.00pm 30 April 2024.

Only current LJMU students may apply and one entry per person.

Entries should be sent to Seagull@ljmu.ac.uk from a registered LJMU student email address.

Entries should include the proposed name and a brief explanation as to how the name relates to LJMU and the topic of data privacy and security. Entries will be assessed by a panel of three judges.

There will be one winner and the prize is a Dell XPS 13.
