Wellbeing support
University life can be challenging at times, but support is available. Our Wellbeing Advisors can provide initial advice and guidance on a wide range of topics which may be impacting your university experience.
Our team understand the student experience and common challenges you may face. We work closely with other services within the university and externally to guide you to the most effective support for your needs.
What Wellbeing Advisors can help you with
- Supporting you to access relevant services within the university or elsewhere.
- Guidance on a range of wellbeing issues such as your mental and physical wellbeing, finding a routine, exam stress, managing your time effectively, sleep and loneliness.
- providing practical resources.
- action planning.
- Providing a confidential listening ear.
Please note:
The wellbeing team are not emergency services, for any emergency please visit our crisis page.

What to expect during an initial appointment
The appointment will last around 20 minutes. In the appointment the advisor will try to understand the issues you are experiencing and then look at the most suitable support options available to you.
If we need more time to discuss things with you or to follow up then we will arrange another appointment with you. If you need to see another team within Student Advice and Wellbeing then we will help you to book in with the right person.
If you have recently spoken with a wellbeing advisor and want to arrange a follow-up then email the Wellbeing Team to provide your availability.
