Deleting and editing videos in Panopto on your computer | Student guide
Panopto offers a number of basic functions for you to alter videos after you have recorded them:
1. Open Canvas, go to the Panopto area of the course menu, look for a button on the page which has the word ‘[assignment]’ in it and click on this.
2. You will see all videos that you have previously uploaded or created
3. If you position your mouse pointer over a video, several options appear:
- Settings allow you to rename the video, but avoid touching any other settings here
- Share do not alter any settings in here
- Edit provides access to the editing tool. The editing tool provides a simple editing window where you can cut off the start or end of a recording. To learn more about the editing tool, click on the edit option and then on the help icon in the top right-hand corner of the page
- Delete Will delete the video. Use this if you need to delete the video or to provide clarity
