Canvas New Quizzes
Canvas has created a new quiz tool. The new quiz tool will let you:
- Move old questions into the new system
- Share question banks more easily
- Use a simple quiz builder
- Access quizzes on a mobile device
The educational technology team is working on releasing this tool in the next six to twelve months. Further information will be shared with staff in the coming months.
Better Rubrics
Rubrics are useful assessment tools for both marking and feedback. The new Rubric Builder will help staff to create rubrics faster. It will let you:
- Drag and drop items
- Change the order of ratings
- Save drafts
We’re currently working to make sure it aligns with our workflows and processes. Further information will be shared with staff in the coming months.
Canvas Portfolios
A new Canvas portfolio is coming. The old one will close on 29 May 2026. Students will be told before this happens so they can save their work. Further information about the new portfolio will be shared later.
