Digital files archived from the Merseyside at War 1914-1918 website

The Merseyside at War project ran at LJMU during 2014-2018, collecting First World War stories and memories from around the region. Documentation and images were made available on a dedicated website for the duration of the project, then archived digitally in LJMU Special Collections and Archives.

The First World War content is no longer available online, but can be viewed at the Aldham Robarts Library by appointment with the LJMU Archivist. Members of the public, schools and community groups are welcome to use our collections as well as LJMU staff and students.

To make an appointment, please email archives@ljmu.ac.uk or telephone 0151 231 3241. Information on how to plan your visit and what to expect is available at Special Collections and Archives.
