Access Panopto app from an LJMU computer | Staff guide

To access Panopto from an LJMU computer:

  1. Launch Panopto by accessing the desktop Panopto icon
  2. Then follow the instructions to log in

What if I can't see the Panopto icon on the desktop?

  1. Open LJMU App Player and search for Panopto
  2. Select the Panopto Recorder icon to open the software
  3. Login via Canvas. Please use the login format of ‘username’@ljmu.ac.uk and your LJMU password.

Issues accessing Panopto via an LJMU laptop or computer

Occasionally staff and students who are using the Panopto recorder may find it difficult to log in on an LJMU laptop or computer. This is usually caused by the Panopto record not being used on that particular PC.

To resolve this

  • Open the LJMU app player
  • Search for ‘Panopto’
  • Open ‘PanRepair’ – This will remove the old instance of the software
  • Then open Panopto recorder to reinstall the recorder
  • This should fix the issue
