Ijeoma Uchegbu

• Uchegbu obtained her PhD from the University of London in 1994, after her MSc at the University of Lagos.
• She is University College London’s Pro-Vice Provost for Africa and the Middle East.
• The co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer for Nanomerics Ltd, the company designing and synthesising self-assembling nano-polymer drug delivery systems.
• Nanomerics won first place in the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Emerging Technologies Competition, 2017.
• Uchegbu was awarded the Department of Business Innovation Skills’ Women of Outstanding Achievement in Science Engineering and Technology award in 2007.
