Kobi Kambon (1943-2018)

• Kambon was a pioneer in Black and African-centred psychology.
• He was President of the Association of Black Psychologists between 1982 and 1983.
• Kambon specialised in Black mental health and the psychological effects of the racial and cultural oppression of Black people within American society.
• He created measures of African-centred world-views and researched how deviations from these world-views could have a negative impact on Black Americans.
