Meet the new LJMU Cancer Support Ambassador Network at this Cancer Café session. Our guest speaker will be cancer coach/facilitator, Megan Birchall, from the charity Cancer Support UK.

Whether you're a caregiver, friend, colleague or family member supporting someone going through their cancer journey, this session will provide you with valuable insights and tips on how to best support them.

Megan will focus her talk on:

  • exploring common emotions and furthering our understanding of how our loved ones and ourselves may be feeling throughout their cancer journey
  • the reality of being a supporter – how can supporting a loved one affect our own wellbeing?
  • the importance of self-care and self-care in practice
  • how to stay connected and supported – where can I find support beyond the session?

Please note:
This session is open to staff and students in the LJMU community and booking is limited to 24 people.
