LJMU Product Design Engineering Design Show & Summit 2026
Join us as we celebrate the creativity, innovation, and problem-solving brilliance of our Product Design Engineering students. This is more than an exhibition—it’s a glimpse into tomorrow’s solutions, crafted by the next generation of designers.
This year, we expect the event to reach a wider audience than ever before. The programme features a Design Summit focused on design education and skills retention within the Liverpool City Region. Local designer and keynote speaker Jonathan Butters will moderate a series of panels and lightning talks involving experts from industry and education. The aim is to lay the foundations for a comprehensive design‑education ecosystem, spanning schools, universities, and employment.
We anticipate significantly greater engagement than last year. Our design show will welcome local schools and colleges, academic colleagues, and members of the public with an interest in design and real‑world problem‑solving.
HITS Pro‑Vice‑Chancellor, Professor Paul Townsend, will deliver the opening address at the Summit. We also plan to present awards celebrating outstanding student work across all year groups.
