Careers support for 2019 LJMU graduates

LJMU graduates

Whether you are a final year undergraduate or postgraduate student, there is a wealth of careers and employability support available to you both in the run up to graduation and beyond.

As a graduate of LJMU you have free, lifetime access to careers and employability support.  LJMU’s expert, friendly staff can help you with your next step, whether that is securing a graduate-level job, undertaking postgraduate study, starting your own business, or something else entirely.  We are also available to help you progress your career in the coming months and years.

If you need support, either prior to leaving or at any stage post-graduation, call into a Careers Zone (at Aldham Robarts Library, Byrom Street or IM Marsh Library), phone 0151 231 2048/3719 or visit the Careers website.  In the Zones, you can book a one to one appointment with an adviser for help with your career options, application forms, personal statements, CVs, interviews, postgraduate applications or any other careers-related matter.

Careers Zone 24/7 – switch to a graduate account
You can continue to access Careers Zone 24/7, LJMU’s digital careers platform, for life after you graduate. Before you leave, switch your account to a graduate account via the ‘My Profile>Enable Graduate Access’ link of the platform. This will ensure you will still be able to access our jobs board, which lists graduate jobs, placements and LJMU internships, as well as all of the tools, assessments, videos, guides and resources to help you secure the future that you want.

Graduate Outcomes Survey

Graduate Outcomes is a national survey, undertaken by a government-appointed contractor, which gathers information about the activities and viewpoints of graduates after you’ve finished your studies. This is a statutory process for all higher education providers and is coordinated by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).

All university leavers will be contacted approximately 15 months after completing their course so it is important to keep your contact details up to date by registering for LJMU Connect, the university’s Alumni platform.
