AVIT group developing a positive AV experience across campus

Did you know that LJMU has a dedicated Learning Environment Panel and an Audio Visual and Information Technology (AVIT) group whose combined remit is to improve the quality of teaching space across campus?

As part of the work of the Learning Environment Panel, we have a cross-functional AVIT group whose role is to ensure improvements that will help us to deliver on our strategy of ensuring that we employ a standard AV palette across the estate and to deliver a positive AV experience for staff and students in all teaching rooms.

The group has come up with a new AV 'blueprint' for all teaching rooms and reviewed all AV requests received and put them into a single prioritised list. Building on last summer’s work of 25 room improvements, we have just appointed Universal AV Services to install new AV in 40+ more rooms. To support this work, we have used the room feedback tool which has provided us with a range of data that we are analysing to help us objectively focus on specific priorities. We are also working closely with technical and academic staff and Faculty Operations Heads.

Our next step is to look at the prioritisation of AV installs for next summer (2020), so if there any rooms that you would like us improve, please let us know via the Helpdesk and we can consider them in our next set of priorities.
