Imogen scoops award with Counter Terrorism Police

Liverpool Business School student Imogen Payen has received a commendation from Counter Terrorism Policing’s Director General, Richard Westlake.

Imogen is one of CTP's first ever student placements and received the award for her ‘Enthusiasm and professionalism in the development and delivery of digital campaigns to support Counter Terrorism Policing’.

Placed in the communications department, Immy helped to run CTP's social channels. She worked on campaign content and helped develop the CTP’s digital transformation, creating her own social media campaign #WeAreCTP, which is soon to be used externally to show the work of counter terrorism professionals.

Now in her final year of studying for her Business and PR degree (renamed BA Business with Media Communications), Immy has since secured another part-time role at Digital Sports MGMT.

Dream job

As a Partnerships Executive, she is now working with the Premier League, Esports Talent and The FA, and is fortunate enough to be shadowing Senior Partnerships Manager Jen Davison a LJMU alumnus who graduated from the same course as Immy.

Immy said: “Working within football comms has been a dream job of mine since I started university and I am beyond excited. To be working alongside Jen, who also did Business and PR at LJMU, is a privilege and I cannot wait to begin working with her and the rest of the team at Digital Sports Management.”

After graduation, Imogen hopes to pursue a career in Sports PR and Social Media with a focus on football communications.

Placements at LJMU are arranged within each Faculty’s Placement Support Unit, who help with CVs, applications, and interviews, ensuring students are fully equipped and prepared for real world work experience.

Counter Terrorism Policing is a collaboration of UK police forces working with the UK intelligence community to help protect the public and our national security by preventing, deterring, and investigating terrorist activity.

Digital Sports MGMT is a sports marketing, gaming and entertainment agency who work with a variety of brands, rights holders, platforms, influencers, presenters, footballers and pro gamers.
