In memoriam: John Windle
We are saddened to learn of the death of our former colleague, John Windle.
John, who was 67, gave 37 years of loyal service to the university; he started working for Liverpool Polytechnic as a senior lab technician in engineering in June 1977. He moved to IT Services in 1998 to work as a senior network technician until his retirement in 2014.
He was known as a quiet gentleman who was always helpful to colleagues and he will be sadly missed.
John’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 24 November in Burscough.
