Does your business need a talented worker?

Could your business do with an extra pair of hands?

Well, with 25,000 students in the city, Liverpool John Moores University has a few to spare – and is funding some to go out and help local businesses and organisations.

The LJMU Discovery Internships are free of charge for businesses in the Liverpool City Region and offer bright, energetic university-level workers over a period of months.

All you need to do is offer meaningful work and you can take on an undergraduate for up to 140 hours.

Apply by October 8

Applications are now open from employers that can offer a supportive learning environment and an opportunity to get involved in, or lead, a short project.

Internships can be a mix of onsite or home-based working, depending on your business need.  Students are available to start the week commencing 15 November, 2021.

Danielle Anderson, Work-Based Learning Consultant at LJMU said: “As part of LJMU’s commitment to developing students for rewarding careers, we are delighted to invite local businesses in the Greater Liverpool and Liverpool City Region to work with us on the Discovery Internships.

"We want our students to be able to discover their unique skills and talents whilst employers discover the value of engaging an intern in their company”

Organizations must be:

  • Fewer than 250 employees
  • Not owned by LJMU staff
  • Based in the Liverpool City Region (surrounding areas will be considered e.g Warrington)
  • Organisations that participated in our 2020/21 internship programme are welcome to reapply though

To get involved register your interest at https://bit.ly/LJMUDiscoveryInternships by midday on Friday, 8 October.
