LJMU strives for Race Equality Charter Silver Award: complete the survey
Your Voice Matters
Building on the success of the REC Bronze Award, LJMU is now working towards the Advance HE Race Equality Charter (REC) Silver Award to reinforce our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students and staff.
We need your help, by sharing your views and experiences and completing our LJMU Race Equality Charter Staff Survey. The survey is open to all staff.
What is the Race Equality Charter?
The Advance HE Race Equality Charter helps universities address racial inequalities and promote diversity. Achieving the Silver Award recognises significant progress in tackling disparities and embedding equity in areas such as student outcomes and staff recruitment.
Why Your Input is Essential
To reach this milestone, your voice matters. Staff and students are invited to share their experiences through the Race Equality Charter Survey. These insights will shape future strategies, identify barriers, and drive meaningful change.
Tina Purkis, Executive Director of HR and Chair of the University Inclusivity Board, explains:
"The voices of our university community, including students, academics, and professional services staff, are vital to improving race equality at LJMU. Together, we can uncover challenges and create meaningful improvements."
