Research and Knowledge Exchange Policy Update

Following endorsement at University Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee, the Academic Board has approved updates to the Export Control and Sanctions Policy.

Export Controls and Sanctions Policy: Research & Knowledge Exchange Activity

The revised policy confirms that all staff should be aware of the policy and the following groups of staff must undertake Higher Education Export Controls Association (HEECA) online training:

• Professional Services staff with responsibility for directly supporting Research and Knowledge Exchange proposal development (mainly RIS, Finance and Legal Services, with some dedicated staff at Faculty Level);

• University Research & Knowledge Exchange Committee members;

• Faculty PVCs and School Directors;

• anyone who is a Project Lead on a project on the Grants and Projects system (GAP) where an Export Control concern has been identified.

Please contact Brittany Mason (b.j.mason@ljmu.ac.uk) if you need to complete the HEECA online training.

Policies can be accessed via the LJMU Policy Centre. If you have any issues accessing the policies, please do not hesitate to contact policies@ljmu.ac.uk for further support.
