LJMU Library, Special Collections and Archives – Governance and Practice Policy

Following endorsement at the University Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee, the Academic Board has approved a new Library policy.

LJMU Library, Special Collections and Archives – Governance and Practice Policy

This policy defines Liverpool John Moores University Special Collections and Archives’ (SCA) strategic approach to the stewardship of its holdings, presented through four interrelated strands:

  1. Documentation
  2. Access
  3. Collection Care and Conservation
  4. Volunteering

The policy establishes the standards by which collections are recorded, made available for research and consultation, preserved in accordance with professional archival practice and supported through structured volunteer engagement. Collectively these strands provide a framework for ensuring the sustainable management of archival resources.

Policies can be accessed via the LJMU Policy Centre. If you have any issues accessing the policies, please do not hesitate to contact policies@ljmu.ac.uk for further support.
