VC's Teaching Excellence Award winners 2025



The winners of this year’s Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Awards (formerly the Teaching and Learning Excellence Awards) have been announced.

The awards celebrate excellence in teaching and the support of learning across LJMU, demonstrating our commitment to recognising and rewarding our outstanding staff, a key requirement of our new Framework for High Quality Teaching and Learning.

The Teaching Excellence Awards run across seven categories; Rising Star; Academic Practice; Digital Education; Personal Tutor; Enhancing the Learning Experience; Equity and Inclusion in Education; and Academic Leadership.

The awards are cognisant of the Advance HE Professional Standards Framework (PSF) with all nominees supported in developing a portfolio of evidence towards Fellowship of Advance HE, if appropriate. Nominees may also be eligible for entry into LJMU’s National Teaching Fellowship (NTF) or Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) coaching programme.
