Support Team LJMU at the Lord Mayor's Dragon Boat Race 2025

We would like to invite staff, students, friends and family to support Team LJMU at this year’s Lord Mayor’s Dragon Boat Race.

LJMU is proud to be the events only sponsor this year, with the event taking place on Sunday 11 May at Liverpool Watersports Centre.

There are 50 members of staff set to take part, racing in three boats throughout the day. The first race is at 10.30am with the final at 4pm.

Alongside opportunities to cheer on Team LJMU, there will be a host of other family-friendly activities to get involved with at the LJMU event truck.

Funds raised from the event will be donated to Liverpool Young Care Leavers and the event also raises the profile of one of our charity partners, - Local Solutions – which operates Liverpool Watersports Centre providing community support through accessible and affordable water sport activities.
