Volunteer at the Claire Bear 3K Fun Run

Claire House Children’s Hospice - one of our charity partners - is looking for volunteer marshals for their upcoming Claire Bear 3k Children’s Fun Run.

Help make this event unforgettable by guiding and cheering on participants. It's happening on Sunday 22 June, from 11am to 1pm at Birkenhead Park.

More about the event

The Claire Bear 3K is the perfect opportunity for children to take part in an official event and fundraise for their local children’s hospice. There is an official start line and finish line, the 3K route is stewarded (hopefully with some LJMU volunteers along the route!), and every child gets a medal at the finish. Plus, Claire Bear – the hospice’s mascot - will be there herself to cheer everyone over the finish line.

It is £6 per child and all children and groups must be accompanied by an adult, even though adults are free.

The Claire Bear 3K isn’t a race – it’s an opportunity to achieve something amazing, have fun and support Claire House. The route is wheelchair and pram accessible and can be run, walked, scooted or completed however you wish.

The event village, which has toilets, food and drink, opens at 11am and the Claire Bear 3K starts at 12noon. There’ll also be live music and lots of merchandise to purchase on the day.

Claire House cares for seriously and terminally ill children in our local community and this is only possible because of people showing support and supporting the hospice by fundraising and attending events. This year the hospice is hoping to have 750 children take part and to raise an amazing £50,000.
