Technician Commitment 8th anniversary reaffirms support in higher education



On 31 May 2025, LJMU celebrated 8 years since the inception of the Technician Commitment marking a remarkable cultural shift within universities to further recognise and empower technical professionals working in UK higher education and research.

LJMU is proud to be a part of the Technician Commitment community of more than 130 signatories, having signed up to the commitment when it was established in 2017.

Technical professionals are central to research, education and innovation, and LJMU is committed to enhancing the visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability of its technical professionals.
