Take part in survey to improve research environment
We’re inviting you to take part in the Culture, Employment and Development of Academic Researchers Survey (CEDARS) – a national initiative designed by Vitae to explore and improve the research environment in UK universities.
CEDARS is at the forefront of understanding and improving the academic research environment and aligns with the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers. This 15–20 minute survey covers key areas such as:
- research culture
- professional development
- employment conditions
- experiences of research staff and their managers
Why take part?
Your feedback helps shape a more supportive, inclusive research culture at LJMU – and you could win one of two £50 shopping vouchers in our prize draw.
Who can take part?
You can complete CEDARS if you undertake research, manage researchers or contribute to the research endeavour by enabling research or researchers, i.e. research professionals and technicians.
We are also interested to hear from people who are engaged in research-related activities but may only have a proportion, or none, of their working time allocated to research activities, for example, those on teaching-only contracts.
Responses should be submitted by Friday 22 August 2025.
For further information email Dr Hannah Timpson, LJMU Academic Lead: Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers.
