Land's End to Liverpool bike ride to raise funds for Micah Liverpool

Lee Collins the Social Justice Business Support Manager at our charity partner Micah Liverpool, alongside Rich Jones from St. Andrew’s Community Network, is cycling from Land’s End to Liverpool from Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 August 2025 as part of Micah's calendar of fundraising events.

The pair are encouraging anyone locally who’d like to ride with them on the final day (Friday 29) to cycle the last 25 miles together.

These final miles will start at Delamere and take the cyclists through Cheshire and Widnes before heading towards the Anglican Cathedral where they hope to arrive between 7.30pm and 8pm.

The logistics of the day will include vans to take peoples’ bikes to Delamere and then coordinating of car sharing or lifts for people who are planning on cycling back but will struggle to get to Delamere in the first instance.

If you’re interested in joining Lee and Rich for the final 25 miles, email Lee at Micah by midday on Friday 22 August, including a contact phone number so that you can be added to a WhatsApp group for confirmation of pick-up times and final arrangements ahead of the day.

The final 25 miles will be completed at a fairly leisurely pace on the day, approximately 10 miles an hour. If you’re interested in joining the ride but unsure if you’d be able to make it or have any concerns about the pace or route, then Lee would be happy to chat to anyone further about this.

You can also support the fundraiser by making a donation to help the charities meet their £5,000 target. Micah will use the vital funds to cover their core costs which will enable them to keep their food banks open and to continue running their community food markets for people experiencing food poverty. The funding will also support other projects delivering beds to children, through a partnership with the children’s bed charity Zarach, and helping people into work through their Recruitability Programme.
