National Student Survey 2026
The National Student Survey (NSS) 2026 launches this month.
The annual independent survey of all final year undergraduates in the UK marks the start of Student Voice Season at LJMU, in which students at all levels are invited to offer feedback on their university experience.
The NSS is commissioned by the Office for Students and conducted by Ipsos MORI, an independent research agency, and takes around 10 minutes to complete.
Our eligible students will receive an email from Ipsos MORI on Thursday 22 January 2026 with a unique link to the survey. Students can also complete the survey on the NSS website from Wednesday 7 January.
Resources for staff
You will see extensive promotion of NSS 2026 on campus and across our range of digital platforms. Eligible students have also received direct communications from the university about completing the survey.
Staff can access a range of promotional materials and receive official guidance about raising awareness of the survey by contacting the Student Voice Champion in your school.
Student Voice Season
As well as NSS, the Student Voice Season (19 January – 8 March) incorporates other key institutional student surveys:
- First Year Experience Survey (foundation and first year students)
- LJMU Course Experience Survey (second year students)
- Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (postgraduate taught students)
There will also be module evaluation for students at all levels later in March.
For more information or support about any of the surveys being carried out, please speak to your Student Voice Champion.
