Induction planning underway for September 2026

Colleagues from across the university are preparing for our next major intake of students this September.

Our academic year will begin with Induction Week for our new students, running from Monday 14 September to Friday 18 September (week 0), before teaching commences on standard calendar programmes from Monday 21 September.

Induction and teaching timetabling requests

The timetabling team has contacted all schools and programme leaders with guidance about submitting requests for both induction and teaching timetables for the academic year 2026/27.

Requests can be made from Friday 27 February via the web data collector portal which will remain open until Friday 27 March.

Draft timetables will be made available for checking from Tuesday 23 June until Friday 10 July.

Induction timetables will be released for students to view from A level results day, Thursday 13 August. General programme timetables for teaching after Induction Week will be available for students to view from Friday 4 September, and personal timetables will be available from Monday 14 September (dependent on a student being fully enrolled on all modules).

Email the University Timetable team if you have any questions.

Freshers Fair 2026

The Students’ Union has also confirmed that the Freshers Fair will take place this year at the end of Induction Week on Friday 18 September at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

Other on-campus activities are being planned by JMSU during induction with full details to be shared in due course.
