In Memoriam: Eddie Felmingham
We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of LJMU colleague, Eddie Felmingham.
Eddie worked as a Customer Service Assistant during the week and as a Sunday Library Assistant at City Campus and will be remembered for serving the university with dedication and kindness for 23 years.
Over the years, he also made significant contributions while working at the Mount Pleasant Library and I.M. Marsh, building strong relationships and supporting colleagues and students across campuses.
Eddie is fondly remembered by his colleagues as “a character – in the best possible way.” They remember his great love of Everton FC, his love of Rangers and his formidable knowledge about all things football, including European 'footy’. Eddie also loved Karaoke (his favourite was 'Love Shack') and Joan Crawford movies. He absolutely loved LJMU and was so proud to work in the Library.
Eddie will also be remembered for his commitment to supporting students and staff, his warm presence, and the genuine care he brought to his work every day. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Our thoughts are with Eddie’s family, friends, and all who knew him during this difficult time.
