Call for contributors: Teaching Insights Seminar Series 2026/27
We are inviting colleagues across LJMU to contribute to the upcoming Teaching Insights Seminar Series.
These seminars provide a valuable opportunity to share, showcase, and celebrate teaching and support for student learning and development across the university.
About the Seminar Series
Teaching Insights seminars are designed to:
- Share effective practice, innovation, and insight that colleagues can apply to their own contexts
- Provide space for colleagues to learn from each other, exchange ideas across disciplines and reflect on what works
They are open to all staff interested in teaching, learning, assessment, and the wider student experience.
Seminars will be delivered online and each seminar is scheduled for one hour to include 30 to 40 minutes presentation or demonstration, with time for discussion or Q&A.
What we’re looking for
We welcome contributions that highlight practical approaches, evidence-informed practice, or reflective insights into teaching and student learning, and the wider HE context. Topics may include (but are not limited to):
- Engaging teaching approaches and active learning strategies
- Intellectual stimulation and challenge in the classroom
- Evidence-based and research-informed pedagogy
- Assessment design and feedback practices
- Inclusive teaching and supporting diverse learners
- Innovative use of technology and AI in teaching
- Enhancing student engagement and participation
