Join LJMU at Liverpool Pride 2026

All students and staff are invited to join LJMU at Liverpool Pride on Saturday 25 July.

LJMU will once again be joining the annual Liverpool Pride March in solidarity with thousands of LGBTQ+ people across the city, in celebration of the achievements and recognition of the inequalities LGBTQ+ communities still face.

LJMU attendees are invited to meet at the Student Life Building from 9am on Saturday 25 July for a light breakfast before heading out to join the Pride March in LJMU branded rainbow t-shirts.

Students, staff and alumni are encouraged to join LJMU and bring along friends and family on the day.

Please register your attendance and make sure to sign up before Friday 10 July to get your LJMU t-shirt.

LJMU and Liverpool Pride Schedule

This year’s Pride March has a new format, setting out from Clayton Square along a fully pedestrianised route through the City Centre to ensure the march is both safe and accessible.

9am to 10am: Light breakfast and group pictures in the Student Life Building.

10am to 10:30am: Depart SLB to head to the muster point at Clayton Square, ahead of speeches from the community

11:30am: March through the streets of Liverpool. The parade will move through the pedestrianised areas of the City Centre.

12:30pm: The parade reaches Lord Street
