Sharon Davies is a relentless advocate of the life changing difference that access to opportunity can make. Starting out in the early 1990s as a volunteer youth worker in Birkenhead, she is a highly experienced youth sector leader, skilled in the delivery of informal education in a range of settings, including detached and outdoor-based youth work.

Latterly Sharon has served for 15 years in the charity sector. Most recently, for the last 5 years Sharon was the CEO of Young Enterprise, an enterprise and financial education charity operating across the UK, and part of the Junior Achievement Worldwide Network. With strengths and skills covering negotiation, change management, organisational culture and strategy, Sharon is an MBA-qualified director with a strong track record in the planning and implementation of successful, sustainable organisational change.

Sharon is passionate about equality of access to opportunity for young people, having benefitted first-hand from opportunities that have made a huge difference to her own life. The importance of making such opportunities available to all, regardless of their starting point, is an area of work that has been of keen personal interest to her for over 30 years now.

Sharon is a proud graduate of Liverpool John Moores University and post-graduate of Leicester University. Sharon is a Leadership Fellow of the St George’s House Windsor Castle Society of Leadership Fellows. She lives with her family in Bolton, including Louie the Labrador. She is a keen open-water swimmer and walker.
