We're testing a smart assistant to help you study
LJMU is trying out a new AI chatbot called LearnWise that lives inside Canvas. It's like having a helpful assistant available any time of day or night to answer your questions. Need to check when your exam is? Want to know when an assignment is due? LearnWise can help with that. We're starting small to make sure it works well before making it available to everyone.
We're launching LearnWise in two pilot stages with specific groups of students. First, it will help students find basic course information like dates and deadlines. Later, it will create study tools like quizzes and flashcards to help you learn. Staff can choose whether to switch it on for their courses, and we'll be asking for feedback from everyone to help us improve it. This isn't about replacing your tutors – it's about giving you an extra way to get quick answers when you need them.
