Vevox Update Spring 2026

Vevox, LJMU's institutional audience engagement and polling platform system, has released its March 2026 update with a solid set of new features across its web platform and PowerPoint add-in.

One standout addition is the ability to embed PowerPoint Online presentations directly into Vevox's Present View. It's worth noting that this is still relatively early-stage. But it's an interesting direction of travel, and users who've been watching Vevox's roadmap may see this as a sign that more fluid slide-and-poll integration external to Microsoft PowerPoint software could be on the way.

Quick Polls are another welcome addition available in the browser-based Present View (not the PowerPoint add-in for now). The idea is simple: if a question or topic emerges organically mid-session, you can launch a generic poll on the fly without any pre-configuration. For educators especially, this is a handy tool for taking a quick straw poll mid-discussion without breaking the flow to set something up in advance.

Beyond those two, the update includes a number of useful refinements:

  • A new Matching question type lets participants pair items with their corresponding answers. Now supported in both the platform and the PowerPoint add-in.
  • Custom countdown timer sounds let you upload your own MP3 files. A small but satisfying touch for those who want a more branded or engaging experience.
  • A new Timer display slide allows you to show countdown timers with a title, useful for communicating break durations or activity time limits.
